About Kaloneo Beauty®

Is Kaloneo Beauty® an Australian brand?
Yes. Kaloneo Beauty® is Australian owned and made, with native Australian botanicals such as Kakadu plum, Lilli Pilli, quandong, Lemon Aspen, lemon myrtle, tea tree and Australian pink clay.
What is vegan skincare?
Vegan skincare contains no animal-derived ingredients, such as beeswax, lanolin, collagen, carmine or animal-derived glycerin. Every Kaloneo Beauty® product is 100% vegan.
What's the difference between vegan and cruelty-free?
Vegan is about what's in the product: no animal ingredients. Cruelty-free is about how it's made: no testing on animals. They're separate, and Kaloneo Beauty® is both.
Is vegan skincare better for your skin?
Vegan means no animal ingredients, which matters to many people for ethical reasons. How well a product works depends on its formula, not just on being vegan. Ours are built around plant oils, fruit enzymes, clays and native botanicals chosen for each skin concern.
What are your products free from?
Parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrances and harsh chemicals. Each product page has a Free From list and the full ingredient list.
Are your ingredients organic?
Many are. Ingredients marked with an asterisk (*) in each product's full ingredient list are organic.

Sensitive skin

Which Kaloneo Beauty® products suit sensitive skin?
The whole range is made to be gentle, and each product page lists sensitive skin among the skin types it suits. If your skin reacts easily, start with one product at a time and patch test each one first. If scent bothers you, the Vitamin C Exfoliating Crystals are fragrance-free.
How do I choose skincare for sensitive skin in Australia?
Look for a short ingredient list, alcohol-free toners, no harsh scrubs and no synthetic fragrance. Go gentle on exfoliation, once or twice a week, and wear SPF50 or 50+ every day, because Australian UV is hard on reactive skin. Introduce one new product at a time so you can tell what suits you.
Is natural skincare better for sensitive skin?
Not automatically. Plant extracts and essential oils can irritate some people, just like synthetic ingredients. What matters is how your skin responds to the formula, so patch test anything new. If you react to scent, our Vitamin C Exfoliating Crystals are fragrance-free.
How do I patch test a new skincare product?
Apply a small amount to a patch of skin on your inner forearm or inner elbow twice a day for a week. For a cleanser or mask, rinse it off as you normally would. If you get redness, itching or dryness, don't use it on your face. Allergic reactions can take a few days to show.
I have a nut or soy allergy. What should I check?
The Hydrating Cream contains sweet almond oil, the Revitalising Toning Mist contains a coconut and almond-derived ingredient, and the Rejuvenating Eye Cream contains soybean oil. Check each full ingredient list and ask your doctor if you're unsure.

Your routine

What order do I use the products in?
Cleanse, tone, dab the Blemish Spot Remover on any spots, moisturise, then apply eye cream. Finish with SPF in the morning. Once or twice a week, mix the Vitamin C Exfoliating Crystals into your cleanser, or use the Pink Clay Mask after cleansing, then carry on with the rest of your routine.
Which set should I choose?

You can also build your own bundle.

What's the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?
Dry skin is a skin type that produces too little oil. Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition where skin is short of water, and any skin type can have it, including oily skin. Dry skin needs richer moisture, while dehydrated skin needs hydration. Our guide explains how to tell which you have.
Do I need sunscreen every day in Australia?
Yes, whenever the UV index is 3 or above, which is most days across most of Australia, all year round. Cancer Council Australia recommends a broad-spectrum SPF50 or 50+ applied 20 minutes before going outside and reapplied every 2 hours. Sunscreen is the last step of your morning routine.
How long do skincare products last once opened?
Check the open-jar symbol on each label, for example "6M" for six months. The Pink Clay Mask and Vitamin C Exfoliating Crystals are dry powders, so keep water out of the jars. Throw out any product that changes in smell, colour or texture.
